Superman is an iconic part of both comic book and film history. When James Gunnpp Superman flying next yearit will be the fourth time a film actor has donned the red cape of the Man of Steel. BHut the star i upcoming DC movieDavid Corenswet didn’t get there without doing some damage to the era that came before him. Apparently, a Superman costume worn by Henry Cavill did not survive the screen tests.

In a recent appearance on Damn podcast the actor Tom Brittney, whom we knew one finalist for the role of Supermantalked about his screen testing experience for the role of Superman, which will be released James Gunn’s new DCU franchise on the big screen. Since there wasn’t a new Superman suit for him to wear, he wore one that Henry Cavil had used and says he tore it up a bit when he got into it. Asked further ThreadsGunn confirmed the story, revealing that when the chosen Superman, David Corenswet, tried on the suit, it was in “pieces”. Gunn said…

Yes. Tom messed with it and then Corenswet came in and he was way too tall so it just ripped. BTW, Tom is truly one of my favorite actors. Incredibly talented guy.
