Why Does This Christian Comedian Write Hilarious Devotions for Kids?

Christian comedian Bob Smiley cares about parents and children and strengthening their faith through humor.

He and Christian musician Matthew West talked about what he hopes families take away from him. Adventures of the Average Kid devotional series for children.

“One of his goals is to invite everyone in his town to church. So how does he do that in different ways throughout the summer, and things are pretty interesting. That’s one of his goals, you know, his pastor challenges everyone to invite more people to church, and he says, ‘This summer, everyone in town ‘I’ll invite you.’”

Another aspect of the story involves a project Average Boy is working on.

“He decides he wants to build a treehouse because his house is located next to the forest, just like the one where I grew up. So, there’s a lot of forest behind him and he wants to build a giant treehouse with his friends, but there’s an animal… in the forest trying to foil his plans.” smiley explained.
