BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) – The Cedar Lake Bridge has been a concern for residents of the Woolmarket area for years.

New talks are now underway regarding a possible solution for the bridge.

Cypress Environment and Infrastructure held a community meeting Thursday to hear from Biloxi residents about what they want to see done.

Some of the solutions include leaving the bridge as it is, closing the bridge and rerouting drivers, or rebuilding and moving the bridge.

Cypress Environment and Infrastructure Senior Civil Engineer Cara Wagner says, “We’re doing a study to see what options we can find to fix the bridge. So we’re here for public input today to hear what they have to say about it.”

The Cedar Lake Bridge project will be funded by FEMA, MEMA and the City of Biloxi.
