“It’s about to get real,” Hunt, 39, said during an appearance Wednesday, Nov. 20, at Impudences “Katie & Company” podcast, teased Fowler’s due date of May 30, 2025. “I’m excited. I can’t wait.”

Hunt and Fowler, 39, already share daughter Lucy, 2, and son Lowry, 12 months, who are little aware that they will soon have a new sibling.

“(Lucy) kind of (gets it.) We talk about it,” Hunt joked. “I say, ‘Mommy’s got a baby on the way,’ and we point to her belly and she says, ‘No. I’ve got a baby on the way.’ Well, not really.”

The “Body Like a Back Road” artist and Fowler married in April 2017. Five years later, Fowler filed for divorce and claimed that Hunt was “guilty of improper marital conduct” and adultery.

Hunt never addressed the allegations publicly, and the pair finally reconciled several months later as did Fowler rejected her legal petition. They went on to welcome Lucy in May 2022.

“I recently had a baby girl named Lucy Lu. I think being out here — and in the music business and being out on the road — has kind of hardened my heart,” Hunt gushed during the Stars for Second Harvest benefit concert in June 2022. “My heart is definitely a lot harder in a lot of cases . way since I left the small town. It’s amazing how that little girl melted it all away overnight a couple of weeks ago.”

Less than a year later, Hunt confirmed it Fowler was pregnant again. The duo welcomed Lowry in November 2023.

In addition to growing his family, Hunt is also strengthening his music catalog and recently released a new single titled “Liberty.”

“I wrote most of it back in 2020,” he recalled to podcast host Katie Neal. “This song was just hanging around and the feeling, the tone of the song felt relevant now and so I thought, ‘I’m going to record it and get it out.'”

He added, “That song is one of about four or five songs that I have for my next project, whether it’s putting songs out one at a time or putting them all out at once. I’m still in that phase of putting out one song at a time so I don’t go away for too long.”

Hunt also hopes to “take a break” from touring for the next few years.

“The crowds have been so great and I want to get out and tour while my kids are young and they can come with me, they’re not in school and I won’t miss too much yet at home,” he said. “And even if people are interested in hearing us play, I don’t want to take that for granted.”
