Deion Sanders reveals why Colorado lost to Kansas

Colorado lost to Kansas 37-21 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., on Saturday, and Deion Sanders thinks he knows why.

The Buffaloes let the Jayhawks rush for 331 yards and 3 touchdowns on 57 carries. In contrast, Colorado rushed for just 42 yards on 13 carries. Speaking to the media after his team’s defeat, Sanders pointed to Kansas’ physical nature as the deciding factor.

“We couldn’t stop the bleeding. Hats off to them, they were physical. They were more physical than us. They outplayed us. They wanted it a lot more than we did,” Sanders said said after the match.

The 57-year-old coach, who is in his second season in Colorado, believes his team had lost focus.

“None of you can say you played your best game, no one here can say they played well. See the problem is you’re drunk on success,” Sanders said to his team.
