Possible threat from Dakota School student

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Dakota Middle School officials were made aware of a potential school threat Friday night, believed to have been made by a student.

According to Dakota Middle School Principal Teri Linander, the student posted the threat on social media.

School staff, along with the school resource officer, Rochester Police Department and Office of Schools Support investigated the situation before determining there was no danger.

In a letter to parents, Linander stated that the school takes any potential threat to the school community seriously and appreciates those who report the post to a trusted adult. She encouraged anyone with questions or concerns to contact her directly.
