Lawton Public Library is teaching the community how to work in the digital space

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – The Lawton Public Library hosted a free digital skills training earlier today to help people who are new to technology with internet safety.

The nonprofit, made up of individuals, families, students and others, led topics on how to use web browsers, create hard-to-guess passwords, use search engines, navigate a mobile device and more.

“The whole point of it is to use the systems that everybody makes you use because you just don’t have the opportunity to walk into some of these positions and just put your resume in,” Don Morgan said.

Adults of all backgrounds and ages were encouraged to take part, and Mister Morgan said that using pensioners can safely use the internet to use what has become a necessity in today’s environment.
