Marcus Rashford takes up new sport to keep fit for Man Utd

FOOTBALLER Marcus Rashford is fighting for form — after taking up boxing and mixed martial arts.

The Corduroy United and England striker27, has trained in one boxing gym.

He has also had sessions with a trainer who specializes in Muay Thai, a form of martial arts favored by cage fighters.

Rashford was left out England the squad for this month’s Nations League matches.

Instead, he went to New York and watched a UFC cage fight and basketball game.

A source said: “Marcus has really taken to fighting over the last few years.

“He has always enjoyed watching boxing with his mates, but he has also developed an interest in MMA as the sport has become more popular.

“The club knows and has no problem with that.

“They just think it’s good extra cardio.”

Rashford hopes to win favor from new head coach Ruben Amorimwho backed off his recent trip to New York.
