Daniel Dubois believes Jake Paul is “serious” about fighting him.

The IBF heavyweight champion cried Paul via Instagram direct messages after the YouTuber who became a boxer’s win over a 58-year-old Mike Tyson last weekend.

Paul would later leak his DM, which read: “Hey Jake, great business this weekend but how would you feel fighting for the legit heavyweight championship of the world?

“This is Daniel Dubois shouts you out, let’s get going.”

Paul responded by telling Dubois to “get in line” accompanied by an image of a tape measure.

But his next response gave Dubois the impression that he actually wants to fight him.

“We messaged him, my dad, and everybody decided, ‘Yeah, let’s call him out,'” Dubois recounted Bricks to Riches.

“Even if it’s just publicity, you never know what can happen in this sport. These are strange times so we made the offer.

When asked if he responded, Dubois replied: “He said something about standing in line but he also said he would talk to Frank Warren so it shows they mean it.”

The answer Dubois is referring to is the one Paul posted on X.

“Boxed for 12 years, had over 100 amateur vs pro fights and fought on my undercard…hahaha,” Paul wrote along with a screenshot of Dubois’ message.

“But damn… I’ll have Nakisa talk to Frankie Warren and get you in line for the throne.

“Unlike Artur, at least you have a few thousand fans.”

Undisputed light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev also called out Paul but “The Problem Child” seemed less keen on the idea.

The Russian wrote: “Jake Paul what can you do in a ring against the current undisputed champion?

“Just know that I’m open to any suggestions.”

“Just saw this,” Paul replied. “Top 5 pound for pound fighter in the world calling me out. Hahahahaha. 4 years in and I’m running this sport.”

The fight Paul claims he really wants is one with a unified super middleweight title Canelo Alvarezas he shouted after the Tyson fight.

“Canelo needs me, so I’m not even going to try to call him out,” Paul said after the fight.

“He knows he wants a payday. So he knows where the money man is…

“He’s going to want a payday and I want to show the world that all the (stuff) I’ve been talking about beating Canelo is true and I’m going to get the biggest upset in the history of boxing.

“We will fight to really see who is the face (of boxing) because after this event I will claim it.”

Realistically, Paul is unlikely to go from fighting a man who has been retired for 19 years to becoming a world class boxer, but he certainly knows how to sell himself.
