Everton manager Sean Dyche expect to have both Dwight McNeil and Jarrad Branthwaite available when Everton host Brentford on Saturday.

McNeil missed the goalless draw with West Ham last time out due to a knee problem, while Branthwaite played in that game but withdrew from international duty with England due to a minor groin problem.

It seems likely that both will be involved at Goodison Park on Saturday at 3pm when the Toffees host the Bees.

Dyche confirmed that both have been in training, and while he could not guarantee they would play this weekend, the signs are looking good.

“Dwight has had a really good week of training,” Dyche said at a news conference on Thursday. ‘Jarrad trained today after sorting things out, so we’ll see how he responds.

“We’re hopeful about that but he should be OK.”

Dyche’s side have lost just one of their last seven Premier League games, so they are proving tough to beat but it hasn’t been exciting.

The goalless draw with the Hammers followed a 1-0 defeat at Southampton, with draws against Newcastle and Fulham earlier this month and the only win in November at Ipswich.

However, Everton have been hampered by injuries, with a number of players remaining.

Starting with Armando Broja, Dyche addressed his other injury concerns, saying: ‘He’s had a full week of training but he obviously needs a game programme.

“We’re looking at the dates now because we wanted to make sure he got through his first full week. He said he’s fine and feels fit, so we’ll introduce a game program when things line up.

Youssef (Chermiti) is also making good progress. He is slightly behind (Broja) but had his first full day with us today, which was pleasing.

“Seamus (Coleman) is on the grass with the medical side and just taking the first steps back. Jimmy (Garner) has had good news from the specialist but has been out for a while and will need to be careful in the opening spell.

“Tim (Iroegbunam’s) stress reaction in the foot is going away so he can kind of half-load again and make sure he gets back going.”
