Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are among the most talked about celebrity couples in Bollywood. But both stars live their lives in the public eye and are often subject to a lot of scrutiny. As such, Ranbir has often been called a “misogynist” or has been labeled as “unsupportive” after Alia’s interviews have been misunderstood. Amidst this, Ranbir’s sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni has opened up about how Alia and the actor react to these trolls.

Speaking to Zoom, Riddhima said that Alia and Ranbir are happy together and don’t care what people say about them. “They adore each other. They have created the most beautiful child ever, Raha. She is so so adorable. They are amazing parents. So I don’t think they care what people say,” she says.

Riddhima also paid tribute to her sister-in-law Alia, saying, “She is an amazing girl. Alia is amazing. Like how she is with my mom now too, she’s just amazing. All her family, mother, sister, father, they are all very kind people. Even her maasi, we love her.” She added, “Alia is actually a very warm and giving person. I’ve said this all along, she really is a nice person. Whenever she does something, she does it dil se, wholeheartedly. She will go out and make sure it’s done.”

Riddhima herself is dealing with newfound fame after her debut in Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives. She was also subject to criticism and trolling after the show aired. She claimed that while she didn’t take into account what the trolls said about her, she doesn’t take it lightly when something is said about her family. “I’m nothing like that. I’m a very simple girl. I love to be at home with my family. I love to be with my family. I rarely go out; I hardly socialize…I don’t even care about trolls. Trolls are trolls for a reason. Why single them out and give them importance?”

“Like I said, log ka kaam hai bolna, woh toh bolege (people are bound to say something; let them). People have always said nasty things and negative things, but why let negativity get to you? You focus on all that positive.” She added, “I really don’t care. You can say whatever you want about me. It makes no difference. But don’t say things about my family. That’s when the horns actually come out,” she concluded.
