Striker Kylian Mbappe secured his dream move to Real Madrid in the summer, but after not getting off to the blistering start many expected at the Bernabeu, he was left out of the France squad.

France coach Didier Deschamps has said the 25-year-old was going through a difficult period, while Real boss Carlo Ancelotti said Mbappe was “nervous but motivated” to succeed at the La Liga giants.
