They flashed a big smile before joining the rest of the couples on the dance floor.

It comes after Wynne came under fire again for allegedly telling a “crude” joke to one of the performances makeup artists.

Insiders claim that opera star joked that the folds of his double chin “looked like a sheath.”

According to Mirrorhe made the remark before Strictly Come Dancing launch show last month.

A source told the outlet: “It was a bit of a vulgar dad joke.”

No official complaint has been made, with the insider adding: “Obviously Wynne meant no offence, but you’ve got to be a little careful these days.”

A spring near Wynne said the joke was “self-deprecating and made in a private conversation” with a make-up artist, who was also said not to have been “offended”.

Wynne Evans reveals real reason he ‘disappeared’ from Strictly set after fans left baffled

Last month, Wynne was left “heartbroken” after a backlash from her strictly pro partner Katya was filmed removing his hand from her waist.

They then caused further fury, when she was seen refuses to high-five the opera singer.

The duo was quick to apologize on video and insisted it was all an innocent “inside joke”.

Days later, Wynne took to her BBC Radio Wales show for another raw revelation.

He told his listeners: “I am absolutely heartbroken by what has been written about me in the last day.

“It’s not nice to live in that time, but basically me and Katya are really, really close and we’re really good friends, and on Saturday night we were joking.

“It was a stupid joke gone wrong, okay?

“We thought it was funny. It wasn’t funny.

“It was totally misinterpreted.”

The Go Compare advert star then gushed about her ‘brilliant friendship’ with the Russian, adding: “It’s all at Katya’s social events. She’s been talking about it.”

Despite the fans requiring the couple to clarify exactly what the “joke” wasWynne did not explain further.

He said: “She has explained that it was a joke. She was not offended in the slightest. She does not feel uncomfortable.

“We have a brilliant friendship, an absolutely tight friendship, and I’m sorry if anyone was offended by that, but it was a joke.

“And that’s all there is. There’s no real story, really.”

CLEAN BANTS

Wynne was referring to the video Katya had uploaded to her social media over the weekend.

In the clip – posted shortly after the online chaos broke out – Katya was seen telling fans: “Hey everyone, it’s Wynne and Katya here, we just wanted to say we messed around in the clad auditorium on Saturday night and we just want to say sorry.”

She added: “It was a stupid joke.”

While Wynne echoed: “Yeah, sorry.”

Katya then strike back a second time in another video upload.

On Sunday afternoon, Katya returned to Instagram with another message to her fans.

She said: “Happy Sunday everyone. Now I have to do something crystal clear.

“The hand incident that happened on Sunday night was really a very silly inside joke.

“So even the idea that he made me feel uncomfortable or offended me in anyway is complete nonsense.

“It’s pretty absurd actually.

“Now we can just focus on how brilliantly he’s doing and what a great dancer he’s becoming.”

BAD TASTE?
