Rap brand founder reveals why he supports Trump

A former rap music mogul explained why he supports former President Donald J. Trump amid an exodus of black men from the Democratic Party plantation that could cost them control of the White House.

In one interview with Fox News Digital, Michael “Harry-O” Harris, who co-founded the Death Row Records label and endorsed the Republican candidate, said Trump’s “track record” of accomplishments is what prompted him to come out and voice his support.

Harris served 33 years behind bars before being pardoned by Trump, one of his last official acts as president in 2021 before leaving office.

“It’s about his track record,” he told the outlet. “The former president, while he was president, enacted some initiatives that speak to my community specifically and other people as well.”

“Harry-O” went on to list examples of Trump’s policies that align with the goals of his organization, Community First Action, a nonprofit that focuses on “positive community change,” according to its website. Policies that include the First Step Act, the permanent funding for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), the promotion of investment in low-income neighborhoods, and legislation to combat sickle cell disease.

“People have more confidence that he’s going to keep his word and I think that’s a little bit based on some of the same research that we did, that when somebody doesn’t campaign for something but actually makes laws . . . that wants to double what he did in the first administration,” he told Fox News Digital.

“I haven’t heard it from the other side as much. I mean, from what I’ve heard, I honestly think it came a little too late, too little, too late. And so, when it comes to a balancing act, and you have to make a decision, the decisive decision that can affect your life and your family’s life, you have to base yourself on the facts, and the facts are that at the end of three and a half years, they in the past, the current administration has not really focused on our community,” Harris added.

According to Harris, “there is nothing to point to of substance” that the Harris-Biden administration has done to “help elevate our community.”

“But even with that said, I still issued the challenge to both candidates and President Trump accepted,” he added, “and that endorsement meant a lot to our organization but, more importantly, to our community that someone commits to working with us. to deal with real issues in society.”

Democratic nominee Kamala Harris has taken black support for granted until the latest poll showed the “brethren” are not down on her bogus candidacy, prompting her to offer bribes for her votes in the form of free money and legalized baptism.

Former President Barack Obama was also put on the campaign trail to berate black men for lining up behind the yass queen, accusing them of misogyny, statements that did not sit well with some who saw the effort as extremely offensive.

“I think people in general, I just want to be honest here, don’t understand the intelligence of the black community,” Harris told the news agency. “I think they put them in a box and just think that everyone suffers from the herd mentality, that just because certain parts of our society say we should do this, everyone should do it.”

“I’m not saying that some people don’t fall into that bracket, but a lot of people go back to reality. They have to go back to reality, because they live in the reality that their groceries are triple or double their gas is double or triple so that just to be able to rent or pay their mortgage is double. Things have changed dramatically for them in the last four years,” he continued.

“So when somebody starts saying vote for me just because it’s insulting, and I think that’s what’s the backlash that somebody’s going to vote for you for a double set of what they just had. I think people are too intelligent for that, says Harris.

“I had been gone 33 years and President Trump decided to make a difference and what some people don’t know, I had filed for clemency twice during President Obama’s administration and never heard anything back and the fact that President Trump on way out was able to bring that relief to me and others, I can’t even put it into words,” Harris told Fox News Digital.

“It changed everything for me. It changed everything for my family. It gave me an opportunity to re-engage in the community and try to do my part. To make it a better place,” he says.
