The cabin is hosting a haunted corn maze this weekend and Halloween night

A spooky adventure awaits when The Cottage hosts ‘Terror in the Corn Maze’, a new haunted attraction. Organizers say the 5-acre maze will feature terrifying surprises, including zombies and evil clowns, challenging participants to find their way out as they navigate the dark, eerie pathways.

The event will take place on October 26, 27 and 31 at 6-10pm nightly at The Cottage, located at 6819 KY 56. Tickets are $20 per person. The experience is expected to take approximately 20-25 minutes.

Proceeds will benefit Lighthouse Recovery, an organization that offers an 18-month program that helps individuals with addiction problems. They are dedicated to changing lives through peer mentoring, the 12 steps of recovery and case management.

Cottage owner and event organizer Marlene Knight warns that the event is for mature audiences due to its intense atmosphere and may not be suitable for children under 13.

“As the sun goes down and the horror begins, you’ll find yourself lost in a maze where every turn can lead to a new terrifying encounter. Will you find your way out, or will the horrors within claim another victim? Only the bravest of souls will survive this nightmarish journey, says a video promo for the event.

For families looking for a more relaxed daytime experience, the corn maze will be open weekly through October 31, from 9am to 4pm daily, for $5 per person. Day visitors can enjoy a less scary version of the maze, with hidden mailboxes and clues that lead to prizes.

“I just feel like there’s a lot of interest in haunted and scary things,” Knight said. “Several of my employees suggested this to me, so we started looking at the space we had on the farm, and it just made sense.”
