Jonathan Taylor: I felt a little sore after returning to training, not bad

Colts running back Jonathan Taylor updated on the condition of his ankle a day after practicing for the first time in weeks.

Taylor injured his ankle in Week Four and missed the last three games, so Wednesday’s practice was his first in a long time. Taylor added that he is dealing with some fallout from the increase in activity, which is nothing more than he expected given the layoffs.

“Of course it will be a little bittersome of those you need to work on, but overall nothing major,” Taylor said via Joel A. Erickson Indianapolis Star. “There was no such thing as ‘This is a bad deal.'”

Taylor said he never wants “negativity to be thrown into the air” when it comes to his feelings about playing against the Texans on Sunday, and that he’s all about “clarification” when it comes to such things. Friday’s injuries will tell us how close Taylor is to earning a roster spot.
