Multiple people injured, eight displaced in fire at Holladay home

HOLLADAY, Utah (ABC4) — A house fire in Holladay on Thursday afternoon displaced multiple people and sent three people to an area hospital, according to Unified Fire. Authorities are currently treating this as a criminal investigation.

One firefighter and two residents were taken to the hospital, while five police officers were treated at the scene. According to UFA, five police officers were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.

Unified Fire said both patients were home when the fire started. When UFA arrived, they immediately launched a rescue operation to remove the two residents from their unit. Both individuals survived with the help of UFA and were transported to an area hospital.

A total of eight people were displaced due to the nature of the fire at a multi-family residence. No arrests have been made in the incident and Unified Fire and Unified Police are cooperating with the investigation.
