WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – An area DPS officer who was seriously injured in an off-duty wreck is getting some help from the community thanks to a fundraising auction with a unique array of offerings. Patrick Timms was involved in the October 1 wreck.

Businesses and individuals from throughout the community have donated goods and services to bid on, with bids so far exceeding $3,000. The online auction is open ahead of a personal benefit for Timms scheduled to be assisted at the Elks Lodge at 4205 Seymour Highway on October 31 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m

The meal at the fundraisers will cost $10.00 for a pulled pork sandwich, chips and a drink.
