Megan Thee Stallion “Bigger in Texas” Video with Houston Legends

Megan Thee Stallion has assembled a pantheon of Houston hip-hop greats in the video for his new song, “Bigger in Texas.”

The new visual lives up to the song’s title as a tribute to the rapper’s home state and hometown, starting with a diamond-studded title card reminiscent of classic mixtape covers designed by Houston-based company Pen & Pixel. The video also follows Megan as she drives around Houston, visits jeweler Johnny Dang and hangs out with other local legends like the Geto Boys’ Scarface, Paul Wall, Slim Thug and Sauce Walka.

“Bigger in Texas” opens Megan: Act IIthe recently expanded edition of eponymous album Megan was released earlier this year. Act II — out today, October 24 — features 13 new songs, including “Roc Steady” featuring Flo Milli, “Neva Play” featuring RM of BTS, “TYG” featuring Canadian rockers Spiritbox and a remix of her viral hit “Mumushi” with K-pop group Twice.

Along with losing Act IIMegan Thee Stallion is preparing for her release upcoming documentary, In her wordswhich premieres October 31 on Prime Video. Directed by Nneka Onuorah, the film will cover Megan’s career so farwhich offers a look at her monumental rise as well as how she has navigated fame, grief and the pressures of being a superstar.

During a recent appearance of The Tonight ShowMegan spoke about the film and using it as a way to reflect on a difficult period in her life.

“Throughout that period of my life I was going through crazy things and I feel like a lot of people dehumanized me,” she said. “People were hearing about my life… So to have my story told by so many people who weren’t me? I thought it was a little crazy.” She added that she wanted to be in control of her story and for people to know her “not just as Megan Thee Stallion.”
