Netflix adds “Moments” feature to let users share favorite scenes

Netflix just added a way for you to watch that carriage scene from “Bridgerton” over and over and over again – and share it with your friends – without breaking a sweat.

Launching on Netflix’s iOS app on Monday with Android to follow, Moments is a new mobile feature that lets members save, rewatch and share their favorite scenes from Netflix titles.

According to Netflix, “With Moments, members can quickly bookmark a scene while watching on their phone and save it directly to the My Netflix tab for easy access later. Members can also share their favorite scenes on platforms like Instagram and Facebook, creating a seamless way to engage with their favorite content and share it with friends. We’re excited to add even more features in the future to help members enjoy and share their favorite moments on Netflix.”

To promote the launch of Netflix’s new feature, the streamer is debuting a new “It’s So Good” marketing campaign on Monday, featuring stars like Giancarlo Esposito, Simone Biles and Cardi B geeking out over their own favorite scenes from Netflix movies and TV shows.

“You know that feeling when a scene, character or line from a show or movie just sticks with you, and you can’t help but text your friends, ‘You have to see this, it’s so good!’ ?” That’s what Netflix’s marketing director Marian Lee says Amount. “Whether it’s sparking ideas for Halloween costumes or becoming a TikTok sensation, the incredible fandoms we’re seeing are proof of what makes Netflix great. Our new campaign is all about celebrating those unforgettable moments and taking you back to the feeling you had when you first became obsessed with a great show on Netflix.”

Esposito added, “I know firsthand that something magical happens when a powerful story finds its audience on Netflix. Suddenly, everyone is captivated and can’t stop talking about it, and that passion just keeps growing.”

“When I get hooked on a story, I go deep,” Biles said. “It happens all the time – I watch a scene and have to find someone to talk to about it. At the end of the day, I’m a fan obsessed with shows like everyone else.”
