Hyderabad: A man in an inebriated state tried to attack traffic policemen during a drunk driving check at Champapet on Saturday night.

The man was driving a scooter when a team of Mirchowk police conducting a check stopped him at Champapet. A breathalyzer test confirmed that he was under the influence of alcohol.

When the police tried to impound the vehicle, the man became aggressive and created disturbances on the road. At one point he picked up a rock and tried to attack the officers. The man also tried to set fire to the vehicle.

The traffic police eventually managed to impound the vehicle and transported it to the police station. A case has been registered against the man for drunk driving.
