Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ in Delhi on November 24

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ program on Sunday (November 24) at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here, an official said on Saturday.

Prime Minister Modi will also address the gathering on the occasion. The Prime Minister is expected to attend the event around 5.30pm on Sunday evening.

Odisha Parba is a flagship event organized by Odia Samaj, a foundation in Delhi.

Through the programme, Odia Samaj has been committed to providing valuable support to preserve and promote Odia heritage, a statement said.

“Continuing the tradition, Odisha Parba is being organized this year from November 22 to 24. It will showcase the rich heritage of Odisha displaying colorful cultural forms and will showcase the vibrant social, cultural and political ethos of the state. A national seminar or conclave conducted of eminent experts and eminent professionals in various fields will also be conducted, the statement said.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, President Droupadi Murmu graced Odisha Parba 2024 in the national capital.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi was also present on the occasion.

Speaking at the event, President Murmu said that Odisha Parba has played an important role in making people aware of the rich heritage of Odisha’s art, literature, dance, music and food. She appreciated all the stakeholders for organizing this event for a decade in Delhi.

“President said that Kalinga war transformed ‘Chandashoka’ into ‘Dharmashoka’. This war teaches us that peace is important for progress. Some parts of today’s world are facing conflicts. Kalinga war chapter in Odisha’s history can show the way of peace to the world,” it said in a statement.

President Murmu said that the most important aspect of Odisha’s culture is tolerance. She urged people to live with affection and harmony and work to the best of their ability for India and Odisha.
