In a recent conversation, Ananya Panday’s mother Bhavana Pandey spoke about seeking therapy due to the severe impact of trolling directed at her daughter.

Ananya Panday has often been vocal about social media scrutiny and how she deals with online trolls. Now her mother Bhavana Pandey has told that her daughter’s trolling is affecting her a lot. So much so that she had to seek therapy. In a recent conversation, Bhavana Pandey spoke about seeking therapy at times when she finds she can’t handle things on her own.

Speaking to Barkha Dutt on We The Women, Bhavana Pandey said, “I was in therapy for about a year. Maybe a little longer than that. And I still do therapy on and off. When sometimes I find things that I can’t deal with own hand.” She further talked about Ananya Panday being trolled on social media and how it affects her as a mother. “Her trolling affected me more than it affected her. I was an overly sensitive person, I’ve become stronger, but at these times I take therapy a lot, he’s my best friend, but it’s always biased.

Bhavana Pandey then added that people often tell her that she has nothing to worry about. “Even my own parents told me that. They were like, ‘What are you worried about? You’ve got everything. But I still went to therapy, and I think it was the best decision I made,'” says Bhavana.

Ananya Panday also spoke at the same event and shared how online criticism shook her confidence. She recalled facing false rumors during her first year in the film industry, where someone accused her of lying about her education. “When I had just started, in my first year, someone made a fake account on Instagram and they started writing that they went to school with me and that I was this and that, and I had lied about my education… And At first I thought, “Nobody’s going to believe it.” But then, when it spun out of control, it really upset me, says Ananya.

Bhavana Pandey was last seen in the Netflix reality series Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives, which premiered last month. Apart from Bhavana, the show also featured Maheep Kapoor, Seema Sajdeh, Neelam Kothari Soni, Shalini Passi, Kayani Saha Chawla and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.
