Railways react to viral image of bride sitting on floor – Railways react to viral image of bride sitting on train floor

A photograph of a bride sitting on the floor of a train has got the internet talking, with several users debating the circumstances and credibility behind the viral image. When the photograph went viral, Indian Railways reacted to it.

The image, which portrays a woman in a red saree sitting on the train floor, was shared by Jitesh on X, who claimed that this was his “wife” in it. The image has been making the rounds on the internet as several users have shared it and added their context and opinions to it.

It all started when a user on X, who goes by the username Potato, shared the picture and urged parents to reconsider their daughters’ marriages based on financial stability.

“Dear parents, please do not marry your daughter to a man who cannot afford a decent lifestyle for himself and also for your daughter. Sooner or later a financial crisis will become the cause of their daily fights,” she said.

The post took an unexpected turn when Jites claimed that the woman in the viral photograph was his “wife” and blamed the Railways for the situation.

His post read: “Thank you Ashwini Vaishnav ji. Because of you my wife is getting this world class train facility today. I will always be grateful to you.”

The official handle of Railway Seva reacted to the post and asked for Jitesh’s PNR number to look into the matter.

“We request you to kindly share the travel details (PNR/UTS no) and mobile number with us preferably through DM so that immediate action can be taken on your complaint. You can also raise your concern directly on or call 139 for speedy redressal,” it said.

Despite repeated reminders, Jitesh did not provide the requested information or react to the railway’s response on the matter, raising skepticism among users.

Several users started questioning the authenticity of the post and hit out at Jitesh.

“If she is traveling in a reserved coach without a confirmed reservation, she is breaking the law. You should be ashamed of yourself for failing her as a husband by not booking her train reservation on time. Thankfully, the railway authorities showed leniency and asked her not to disembark,” said one user.

Another user added, “What an irresponsible person you are, you can’t book a seat in advance for yourself and your wife and blame the ministry for your irresponsibility.”
