Kaysville neighborhood under cover on scene as police negotiate with a barricaded person

KAYSVILLE, Utah (ABC4) — A person with outstanding warrants has prompted a Kaysville neighborhood to shelter in place as police negotiate with the person.

According to Kaysville Police, officers were called to the vicinity of Lincolnshire and Crestmont Way to investigate a domestic violence case where it was discovered that the suspect was preventing family members from leaving the residence and had outstanding warrants.

Police say it was determined the suspect refused to leave the home and was in violation of an active protective order.

Kaysville Police responded to the scene in an attempt to make contact with the suspect, all efforts to date have been unsuccessful. Kaysville Police have requested assistance from the South Davis Metro SWAT Team.

The family has been safely removed from the home. Efforts to contact the suspect are still ongoing.
