ROCHELLE, Ill. (WTVO) — A driver was injured trying to overtake a Chevrolet transporter in Rochelle Tuesday afternoon.

The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office reported that Jesse Morales, 44, of Cherry Valley, attempted to overtake the Chevrolet in the 1500 block of North Mulford Road around 12:31 a.m. and crashed into the vehicle as it turned into a private drive.

Morales was taken to the hospital for treatment and cited with improper passing, police said.

The driver of the Chevy was cited for failure to display a slow moving vehicle plate.
