Eight people have been taken to hospital after inhaling fumes.

Emergency services were called at 08:15 GMT to a commercial property on Brunel Way in Thetford, Norfolk, following a chemical leak.

East of England Ambulance Service said 20 people were assessed at the scene and seven women and one man were taken to West Suffolk Hospital for further treatment.

“The eight patients transported were for minor injuries and also for further assessment and care,” an ambulance spokesman said.

Four ambulances, four ambulances and three emergency response vehicles were sent to the scene following reports that people were unwell.
