Pulisic gives USMNT early lead over Jamaica

Mauricio Pochettino’s USA outfit may have edged closer to reaching the semi-finals of the Concacaf Nations League after taking an early lead in St. Louis.

After Juventus’ Tim Weah almost opened the scoring in the fourth minute before being denied by the woodwork, it was Christian Pulisic who put the Stars and Stripes ahead.

Weston McKennie played a delicious diagonal ball over the top of the Reggae Boyz backline before the Milan forward slotted past Andre Blake on the half volley.

He would later complete his assist in the 33rd minute, with McKennie turning provider again when the midfielder found himself free on the right before his cut-back pass into the box found Pulisic free to extend the advantage on the night.

Now with a 4-0 aggregate lead and having only lost to Jamaica on three occasions in 36 meetings, the USA will surely be confident of advancing tonight.
