Is Jinx dead in Arcane? What happened to Viktor and Jayce?

The explosive conclusion of Arcane’s the second season left fans with a whirlwind of unanswered questions.

From Jinx’s fate to Jayce and Viktor’s mysterious disappearance, the series finale was packed with shocking twists.

While Riot Games and Fortiche Production have yet to provide definitive answers, we can look at the clues and hints scattered throughout the show, as well as official League of Legends lore, to speculate on what might have happened to these beloved Arcane characters.

What happened to Jayce and Viktor at the end of Arcane?

The fates of Jayce and Viktor remain shrouded in mystery following the conclusion of Arcane’s second season.

The last we see of them is during the war, where Viktor, under the influence of Arcane, brainwashes the townspeople. However, Ekko remains unaffected and tries to stop Viktor by throwing his Z-Drive at him.

The Hextech inside the Z-Drive reacts to Viktor, resulting in an explosion. Jayce’s Hextech gem also reacts to this event, and the two are seemingly transported to an unknown destination, surrounded by markings of wild runes.

Given the existence of multiple universes implied in the series, it is possible that they were transported to another timeline or dimension.

Considering Viktor’s ultimate form, in League of Legends history, it is very likely that his story in Arcane is just the beginning of his origin story. He’s missing a lot of components, although we’ve already seen his partial transformation – lasering the door was a nice touch.

In the game, Viktor gains fully mechanized armor, a full face mask, and a powerful gauntlet – a much more advanced state compared to his final appearance in the series.

His abilities in League of Legends revolve around dealing persistent magic damage, controlling zones with his skills, and upgrading his kit as the game progresses.

“Is Jinx dead in Arcane?” and “Death Jinx in Arcane?” are questions that have lingered in fans’ minds after watching the final episode.

In episode 9, “The Dirt Under Your Nails”, Jinx makes the ultimate sacrifice to save her sister, Vi. As the two teeter on an unstable platform in the Hexgate tower, with Warwick clinging to Jinx, she takes decisive action. Removing the Hextech from Vi’s gloves, she sacrifices herself and Warwick, ensuring Vi’s survival.

As Jinx and Warwick plummet to their doom, she detonates a bomb in order to take his life along with hers.

In the closing scene of Arcane Season 2, Caitlyn discovers blueprints of the Hexgate Tower in her mother’s archives, revealing hidden air ducts. This has led many to speculate that Jinx may have escaped death by hiding in one of these ducts before the explosion was triggered.

Further fueling this theory is the final frame of the series, which shows an airship sailing across the ocean. While this may simply be a scenic image of Piltover, it’s worth noting that in the very first episode of Arcane, Jinx expressed a dream of one day riding an airship.

This theory has raised hopes among fans that Jinx may have survived the tragic events and is now embarking on a new journey.

Does Warwick die in Arcane?

Warwick’s fate after the explosion caused by Jinx is uncertain. While he was previously shown to be resilient and survived Isha’s explosion with the help of Singed, the extent of the damage from both the explosion and the fall from the tower is unknown.

Given Warwick’s ultimate form in League of Legends, which is a more monstrous and savage creature, it is possible that he survived the events of Arcane and will continue to mutate and evolve. We expect him to look wilder, grow more fur and develop a muzzle.
