He told me two things that really stood out. I remember me and my friend Uday sitting in his garden. And Shah Rukh had come. We used to play cricket on Sunday. And after cricket we all used to talk to us because both Uday and I were about to start our films. He said, ‘Iss duniya mein 2 kism ke hote hain (There are 2 kinds of actors in this world. One actor runs because dogs chase him. The other actor runs because he loves to run.) the other. Run, because you love to run. Don’t run because there is no compulsion.”

So I say at the end, ‘UC (Uday Chopra) – keep running home boy.’ So that’s why I said that. And that was so wonderful to hear as an actor. That you do things because you love to do them.” However, he added that it doesn’t always work that way.

“A lot of the time you have to do things because you have to. There are other requirements – be it financial or whatever. But in the main, try to do it,” Abhishek said. He did not reveal the other advice, explaining that it is very personal.
