Deadpool/Wolverine #1 Preview: Wade and Logan Together Again – Comic Book Movies and Superhero Movie News

The Deadpool and Wolverine the film was a huge success for Marvel 2024. Unsurprisingly, the company wants that success to continue into 2025. Therefore, the year will kick off with a new Deadpool/Wolverine comical, along with Wade Wilson and Logan to hilarious effect.

In the new series, Deadpool and Wolverine will team up against an unnamed fan-favorite villain. The fate of the world will hang in the balance and the only ones who can save it are the best there is and the Merc With The Mouth. It spoils it a bit to reveal that they will spend as much time fighting each other as their common enemy.

In addition to teaming up Deadpool and Wolverine, the new series will also reunite the two frequently Marvel Comics collaborators. The new series will be written off Benjamin Percy and present artwork by Joshua Cassara. The two previously collaborated on the monthly book X-Force series.

“Josh and I really hit it off when we worked together on X-Force and became great friends,” Percy told IGN last month. “We never stopped texting or hanging out cons. We always trade silly jokes and many hundreds Arnold Schwarzenegger GIF files”.

Given that friendship, Percy and Cassara were both eager to work together again. And Deadpool/Wolverine was the perfect project to “get the band back together,” as Percy put it. Percy described Deadpool/Wolverine as “we roll onto the stage and shred our guitars once again as smoke machines whine and pyrotechnics explode all around us.” Percy further promised that the new series will turn heads X-Men fans, with long-buried secrets and unpredictable twists.

Deadpool/Wolverine #1 arrives department stores everywhere on 1 January 2025.
