Billie Eilish Reacts to Rihanna Collaboration Shout-Out

Rihanna name-checked Eilish when asked about a possible dream collaborator during a red carpet interview

Billie Eilish have nine Grammys awards and two Oscarsbut those accolades pale in comparison to the one she just received: A personal shout-out from Rihannawho singled out Eilish as an artist she would love to collaborate with.

Rihanna name-checked Eilish recently Get access to Hollywood interview when she was asked who her “dream collaborator” would be to sing with. After taking a beat, Rihanna said, “If only I could do a song with Billie Eilish. She’s so good.”

The clip was (understandably) picked up by one Eilish fan account on Instagram, which Eilish herself posted on her Instagram Stories along with the very reasonable reaction text: “What the hell, oh my god what the hell.”

Who knows if this will actually happen, but if it does, and that means we’ll have to wait a little longer R9yes, so be it.

As for that long awaited albumone of the most concrete updates Rihanna offered about the follow-up to 2016 Anti came earlier this year when she told Extra“It’s going to be amazing. It has to be — that’s the only reason it’s not out yet. If I don’t feel it and I don’t feel it represents the evolution, the time I spent away. There should be a display of growth , right? I want to play, and I feel like music is a playground, and I want to have fun with it and really show where I’m at.

Eilish released meanwhile her latest album, Hit me hard and softback in May and has spent much of the year touring North America in support of the record. She has a final run of shows scheduled starting next month and ending with a five-night run in her hometown of Los Angeles in December. (Eilish will take the tour to the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand next year.)
