A portion of Lexington Boulevard in Cape Girardeau is closed in both directions for roadwork

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) – A portion of Lexington Boulevard in Cape Girardeau is now closed in both directions due to roadwork.

According to the city, the area between West Cape Rock and Old Sprigg Road will be closed from Thursday, October 24, until around November 5.

Teams will replace the concrete panels in that area.

According to the city, the currently existing detour for eastbound traffic on W. Cape Rock in Lexington will continue to be used. In addition, westbound traffic approaching the Old Sprigg interchange will continue westbound along the Old Sprigg route south, west to Bertling and Perry, and then north, W. Cape Rock to Lexington.
