A case has been filed against a man in Shivamogga district of Karnataka for allegedly driving his car with a traffic police officer clinging to its bonnet. The video showing the policeman clinging to the hood of the car is going viral on social media platforms.

The incident took place when the policeman named Prabhu tried to stop the accused, identified as Mithun. The incident reportedly took place on a busy street on Wednesday afternoon when Prabhu stopped Mithun’s car and asked him to park it on the roadside.

According to the images that have gone viral, the man is seen arguing with the police officer who is standing in front of the car and asks him to park. Instead, Mithun reportedly accelerated the car by holding the traffic warden on the bonnet of the car. However, he stopped after about 100 meters and fled the scene.

Following the incident, a lawsuit was filed against Mithun. Shivamogga Police assured that they have launched a search to nab the accused.

The police also assured that the suspect would be arrested as soon as possible.
